Fees and Terms & Conditions

Registration is free for both host families and Au pairs!

Service:

Supercare Aupair offers an introductory Au pair service. This service includes:

  • registration of potential host families and Au pairs
  • reference checking of Au pairs
  • matching of potential families and Au pairs
  • assistance with the interviewing process
  • personalised assistance up to the arrival of the Au pair
  • help and advice to both parties up to one month after the arrival of the Au pair

Note: no guarantee is offered of the nationality of the Au pair given.

Placement fees:

The placement fees are to be paid by host families once the matching has been successful - and before the arrival of the Au pair.

Please note the Au pairs do not pay any fees for their placement.

  • Summer Au pair:The months between June and August of the same year = £140
  • Up to 6 Months = £185
  • Up to 1 year = £250
  • 10% off for returning Host families

Please note:

  • there is no extra fee for an Au pair staying after 1 year to a maximum of two years. If the Au pair carries on working for the family, a one off fee of £250 will be charged irrespective of the extended period.
  • A discount of 10% will be offered to any returning families for placements of any lengths. Note: a "returning family" is a family who wishes to hire another Au pair after a first placement through Supercare Aupair.
  • Any extension of the Au pair stay will be treated as a new placement and the relevant fees will be charged.
  • All introductions are confidential and the documents remain the property of SuperCare Aupair UK. If the host family passes on details of the applicant to any persons for them to work for, the family will pay us the placement fee as though they themselves had engaged the applicant.

Payment:

The placement fee is the payment for the introduction of the Au pair to the host family. All fees must be paid within 7 days of the receipt of invoice.

  • The amount of the invoice should be paid in full.
  • SuperCare Aupair UK does not accept payment by installments.

Cancellations and refunds:

  • If the family were to cancel their invitation after acceptance by an Au pair, a refund of 50% of the full fee will be made. However, if the Au pair has bought their ticket and is due to arrive in 5 days or less, no refund of the placement fee will be given to the host family. In any case, if the Au pair has bought their ticket according to the agency's instructions, i.e. after final agreement by both parties, the host family will be responsible for refunding the price of the ticket to the Au pair.
  • If the Au pair cancels after accepting the family?s invitation, an immediate replacement will be offered free of charge. If none proves suitable a 100% refund will be made less administration charges.
  • No refunds will be offered for summer Au pairs.
  • If the Au pair or the family terminate their agreement after 28 days of stay, no refunds will be made. An enquiry for a new Au pair or host family will be treated as a new enquiry and fees will be applicable accordingly.

Replacements:

  • If an Au pair were to leave within 28 days of being placed a replacement will be provided free of charge.
  • No replacement will be given after 28 days. An enquiry for a new Au pair or host family will be treated as a new enquiry and fees will be applicable accordingly.
  • If the family ends the contract within 28 days (two weeks notice will apply) a replacement will be offered free of charge. The reasons for termination must be reasonable though. However, we cannot guarantee an immediate replacement.

No refund or replacement will be given if:

  • The family fails to pay an Au pair pocket money for more than two consecutive weeks
  • If the Au pair has been working more than the agreed hours put down in the contract provided by the agency and signed by the host family.
  • If there is serious misconduct by the host family or any false information given by the host family.
  • The Au pair is asked to leave without the required two weeks notice, unless there is a case of serious misconduct.
  • If the host family is responsible for repeated problems with more than one Au pair.

Liability:

  • SCA UK is a trustworthy agency based on Christian principles. Even though applicants are thoroughly vetted and carefully selected through the selection process, we accept no liability or damage of any kind for any loss or damage to property or any loss including injury to persons arising from directly or indirectly from an act or omission of any applicant introduced by us even if such an act is negligent or as a result of an omission.
  • We cannot guarantee an Au pair will complete his or her proposed length of stay.
  • All arrival dates and times of the Au pair are approximate and our agency cannot be held liable for an Au pair failing to arrive on the date or time given.
  • It is the responsibility of the host family to collect the Au pair or make arrangements for their collection on their arrival in this country. It is also their responsibility to take the Au pair to their point of departure on their leaving.
  • All responsibility regarding the use of car / and possible damage is that of the host family concerned.
